Management Summary

Hal and Donna Callen, who co-own and manage Builders Plus Concrete, LLC, have over 40 years of combined experience within the commercial concrete industry.

Hal Callen functions in all capacities within the business setting; however, most of his time is spent building customer relations and bidding projects. Hal started the concrete business with 13 years drafting and design experience and holds a diploma in Technical Drafting and Design from Oklahoma State Tech.  Hal has extensive hands-on experience and expertise in concrete placement with the first 10 years working in the field.   His knowledge of placement methods, technology and blueprint interpretation has given him the tools to operate the company for over 20 years.  During that time he’s built company sales in excess of $4,000,000 annually.  Hal is well respected in the commercial construction industry and knows the keys to his success are impeccable workmanship and delivering on-time completion on all projects.

Donna Callen, Hal’s partner in marriage and business, assists the company in decision-making, administration and compliance. Donna’s previous administrative experience with a certified public accounting firm for 19 years brings knowledge, skills and many advantages to being self-employed. Donna is a 1978 graduate of Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Education. Hal and Donna were married in 1975 and have two grown children.
